17th century English oak carved chest

Description:  A deeply carved oak chest with a four-paneled top and two-paneled front.  The front is decorated with rope carvings and lunettes.  It contains two lower drawers.

Circa 1620, Dorset, England.

Provenance:  Unknown.

Dimensions:  28-3/8″H x 53-1/4″L x 23-5/8″W.

Condition:  Overall, good with age-appropriate wear.  The top color has faded over time.  The drawer hardware is original.

Repair/Replacements:  Original hinges have been replaced.
