Description: A Charles II boarded oak box containing two lunettes with a central floret, guilloche detailing in the corners, and a hinged top.

Circa 17th century, England.

Provenance:  Lord Richard Gerald Lyon-Dalberg-Acton, 4th Baron Acton Estate.

Dimensions:  15-1/2″H x 25-1/2″L x 12-1/2″D.

Condition:  Age-appropriate wear.  Overall, very good.  Interior has rabbets for a candle box.

Repairs/Replacements:  A modern hinge was added to allow the top to remain open when needed.  Original strap hinges and rosehead nails.
